Welcome to our Creche!
We are based in east Galway in a town called Portumna.
We cater for children aged 3 months to 12 years and open from 7am – 6pm 51 weeks per year.
Our rooms consist of a Baby room, Wobbler room, Toddler room, Junior Montessori 1 and 2 and Senior Montessori 1 and 2. We first opened our doors in September 2007 with the majority of staff starting with us at that time! We currently employ over 20 childcare practitioners to help your little ones through their first few years. We take our responsibilities very seriously and we know we are we are playing a key role in helping create the adults of the future.

Our Baby Room is carefully designed to care for your baby. It is bright and tranquil giving your baby the comfort to explore their surroundings. Our team are experienced carers and are highly responsive to your child’s needs and provide them with the nurture and care they require during this early stage in their life. We will provide your baby with a high level of individual attention throughout the day. Our sleep room is separate to the main room and fitted with baby monitors where staff will physically check each child every 10 minutes while sleeping.

Our babies enjoy tummy time, music, spending time in the outdoors, story time and exploring their senses through play.

Once your child is up and about and has taken his/her first few steps, s/he will graduate to the wobbler room. Our childcare professionals will consult with you before we make any changes to your child’s day. Parents and guardians will be involved in the transition, every step of the way.

The childcare practitioners in the wobbler room will be able to meet your child’s developmental needs by providing learning opportunities for them to explore in a fun and safe environment, through laughing, talking, singing, sensory play, music and movement, stories, art and craft, and outdoor play.
